Hu Renyi (MFA AP13) will debut his new project “Lost in The Space” in the inaugural exhibition WE: A Community of Chinese Contemporary Artists at the K11 Art Museum, Shanghai. Featuring over 50 artworks spanning across a wide range of medium, the exhibition aims to express the diverse individualistic thoughts and spirits of the many Chinese artists working today. Renyi’s work will be exhibited in the Substance/Language unit consisting of work with which any material has dual form of matter: consisting of materiality and language. The artist uses materials as his creative basis and embeds them symbolically as an expression of his unique creation. The exhibition will open on March 4th with an opening reception at 5pm and will run until May 2nd. Pictured above is Renyi’s piece.
